Christmas at the Botanic's
Last night I got right into the Christmas season.
I took my children to the Christmas at the Botanic’s and it was magical.
It was very last minutes as we were suppose to head to Santa’s woodland experience but I started to realise that an 8pm visit was not realistic for me, CC and Cassi. I was offered tickets on Edinburgh Gossip girls and jumped at them.
It started at 4.40pm just as the darkness settled. My daughter was so excited to see all the lights and we were not disappointed.
We entered the botanic’s at the west gate which is the main entrance and we sat waiting with a little picnic tea for the kids. Cassi decided the pouch that I had brought for him was more fun being sprayed at me with blowing raspberries than actually eating the stuff.
We then went through the entrance to the garden and followed the lights and music on a Christmas adventure.
Snowflakes reflecting on the ground guided us to twinkling balls of lights then on to a field glowing orbs that tinged and ringed in an amazing sequenced music.
A path of bubbles in glowing purple lights left as all squealing with delight, this was a favourite with all of us especially Cassi.
The singing trees had us smiling from ear to ear and the fields of fire was breath-taking.
The glass house performed a beautiful song and a display of beautiful moving shapes as we stood in awe.
The disco forest with the mirrored ball had us dancing and singing. The mirrored balls created a sea of moving lights on the ground that CC loved pretending she was swimming in the sea and I had to save her.
The unexpected highlight was a mini elf show that had CC transfixed with and was a lovely surprise to see Santa appear from the little wooden house.
We headed home feeling the glow of Christmas; we even treated ourselves to a Mcflurry on the way home.
It really was a wonderful Christmas treat and would defiantly recommend going.
This is not a sponsored post I just had an amazing time.
