Santa Is Male

I can’t believe I am writing this but I read recently that a council has ruled that Santa Claus must be a man. He is FATHER Christmas.

The row happened when a woman asked if she could play Santa in the local town show in Newton Aycliffe, in County Durham. The town show has been an annual event since 1970 and Santa has been played by a man every one of those years.

At a Great Aycliffe Town Council meeting on Wednesday, the recommendation from its events sub-committee to allow women volunteers to be Santa was considered - and rejected.

In a statement, the council said: "The Recreation Committee did not agree with the recommendation and confirmed by resolution that the role of Santa Claus should continue to be a male role."

I’m sorry but I am going to have to call time on this, this is absolutely ridicules. Santa is a man! He is male, penis and all. Why is it so crazy that people are offended that a woman can’t play Santa?

This is PC gone too far, it really is.

Children will be going along to see the “image of Christmas” and expect to see a male, after all the “real” Santa is a man. According to the Northern Echo, councillor Arun Chandran said: "Children in particular will be expecting a male Santa and it may well reflect badly on this council if we were to deliberately introduce a form of political correctness." EXACTLY! I really don’t think this is wrong.

Imagine you went to a superhero party and wonder woman was there, hairy chest and bulging pants...I think you would be asking for your money back or at least crying with laughter that someone thought a man could pass as wonder women because SHE IS A WOMAN!

Ok, we have discrimination rules for a reason and quite rightly so but this is Santa, Santa is a man. That’s how it is!
